User account

Q: Is it possible to create an user account?
A: Yes, it is - either during the checkout procedure marking the checkbox "Yes, I would like to create an user account", or by using the Create user page here.
With an user account you can keep track of your completed orders.

Q: How do I access my user account?
A: Using the link in your "Order Confirmation e-mail" - look for the box labelled "My orders", and click on it, or use the direct log in page here.

Q: I get a "Page not found" error when I try to log in to my user account?
A: You are most likely already logged in to your user account.
To view your completed orders, use the menu "User account - My orders" (direct link here).

Pre-orders

Q: Pre-orders - how does it work?
A: Just like buying a 'stock' item, choose your favorite diecast model from our 'Pre-order' section, and add it to your shopping cart.
    Finish the checkout procedure and once completed your 'Pre-order' item has been reserved and paid for.
    When the item is received from the manufacturer it will be send to you, or added to your "Box of Cars" depending on your selection during the checkout procedure.
   
   Please note following regarding 'Pre-order' items;
    - Here at diecast-shoppen you pay in advance for your 'pre-order' item, as many items are highly sought after, and would otherwise quickly sellout if not reserved in advance.
    - The indicated "Expected release date" is information received directly from the manufacturer and is subject to change without notice.
    - In special cases the manufacturer might not be able supply the requested quantity of 'pre-order' items (i.e. due to high demand, manufacturing difficulties, etc.).
       In such a case you will be contacted by us and you will get a full refund for your 'pre-order' item.

Q: My order contains stock items and pre-orders items - how will it be handled/shipped?
A: Your stock items will be reserved and put a side waiting for your pre-order items to arrive.
    Once your pre-order items have arrived, your order will be finalized and shipped to you (or added to your "Box of Cars").

Shipping & Packing

Q: Which countries do you ship to?
A: See details in our "Shipping Information" section here.

Q: What is the processing time from order to shipping?
A: We aim to send out packages two-three times a week.

Q: What kind of packaging do you use?
A: We will do our best to make sure that your items arrive safely and without damage to you.
    Where possible we will reuse any bubble-/paperwrap and cardboard boxes in which we receive the diecast models from our suppliers.
    By doing so we minimize the resources used for producing new packaging materials.
    We support the Danish initiative "Environmentally Friendly Packaging".

"Box of Cars" service

Q: The "Box of Cars" service - how does it work?
A: It allows you to collect multiple orders and combine them into one shipment.
